Greg F. Moratschek (President)
Greg Moratschek joined the ranks of Hummel Industries, Inc. in 1975 as a marketing representative. Today, after over three decades of service to the firm, he still enjoys working to help building owners and professionals solve masonry and concrete-related problems.
During his time as President, Greg has overseen an expansion and diversification of the services the company offers in order to meet the ever expanding and changing needs of its clients. Outside of work, Greg has long been active in the surrounding community. Following in the footsteps of previous Hummel leaders, he has held various executive leadership positions within industry and business groups as well as philanthropic organizations.
Greg is a graduate of St. Xavier High School, and holds a bachelor’s degree from The University of Cincinnati and an MBA from Xavier University. He and his wife Marty live in Blue Ash and are the proud parents of two adult children and three grandchildren.

Carl Kappes III (Vice President)
After graduating from Roanoke College in Virginia, Carl began his career in the organization in 1980, working in field installation, sales, estimating and project management in the interlocking paving and retaining wall area. He moved to Hummel Restoration in 1999 after the retirement of a long time manager.
His focus is on developing new customers and assisting current customers with building facade repair and maintenance issues. Carl has extensive experience in masonry and concrete repair and stone projects in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana.
Carl currently serves on the Board of the Cincinnati Building Owners and Managers Association and the Rotary Club of Cincinnati. He has been happily married to his wife Marne since 1980 and they have three grown children.

Scott D. Whittle (Corporate Manager)
Scott, born and raised in Northern Kentucky graduated from Lloyd High School in 1990. He began his career with Hummel Industries, Inc. in 1998 after graduating from the University of Cincinnati with degrees in Construction, Architecture and Business.
In his current position, he works as the firms Chief Estimator and Project Manager to successfully meet the needs of his clients. Scott also works as the Safety Director to ensure safe work practices for the benefit of the Hummel craftsmen as well as the firms' clients.
He has served on the Education Committee of Allied Construction Industries as well as the chairman of the Scholarship Committee. In addition, Scott has also served as a member of the Building Committee for the Emanuel Community Center in the Over the Rhine area of Cincinnati. In his spare time, he enjoys photography, golf and spending time with his wife Elaine and two children, Alyssa and Brad.

Frank Brown (Corporate Controller)
Frank is a native Cincinnatian and has been associated with “Hummel” for thirty-five years. Presently, Frank acts as the firm’s Corporate Controller and has served in this capacity for the past ten years.
He is a 1967 graduate from the University of Cincinnati where he received his Baccalaureate degree and a graduate degree in Business Administration. Frank is a Certified Public Accountant and was a partner with the accounting firm of Ernst and Whinney where he served as the companies’ independent auditor.
A native of the west side, Frank is a veteran and served in the United States Army. Today, he and his wife Georgia, are married for over forty years and are the proud parents of three adult children and grandparents of eight children.
